You can try switching it on using a Beo4 or Beolink with the following commands "Menu 0 3 Play" - but that is a test mode so I do not know if it will achieve what you want. With the above it does not need to be connected to an ML driver. STOP sends it back to standby.... Brian PS I would be interested in any other replies too!

These will work well with a Passive. The only thing to watch out for is foam rot - but as these use similar drivers to the C75 there is a good chance that they will not suffer. They canot be fixed to the wall as they do not have a bracket fixing. Brian

There is not really much difference between the MkII and MkIII - the displays changed from orange to green! The Mk II was not on the market for long ( a couple of years) compared to about 8 for the Mk III. I would think either in good condition would be okay - though obviously the older they are the greater the ravages of time. However an old one in

Thank you for that - I had skimmed the pages and was looking for sections 7, 8 and 9 that the contents on page suggest should cover "repair hints" "Insulation test" and "final test".

They could have chosen an Audi with B&O sound system! My Swedish is not too good, but at least I can understand the pictures! Brian

You would need to feed a signal in 4:3 format with black strips or cut image as the TV itself will not display in any other format. Brian

I have looked at the BM 6500 manual at the download site, but sadly it appears to be missing the final few pages. There is a breakdown of the parts in an MCP but nothing more. Brian

Thank you for the offer of a Workshop Manual for a BEO4 - I hope Peter will take it up! Do you have one for an MCP 5500 or 6500 by any remote possibility (pardon the pun!) ? I have in fact repaired said BEO4 - a new dome foil (as suggested by Andy T) did the trick. I will try cleaning the old foil and see if it can be resurrected. Brian

Martin, Thank you for the reply. Nothing happens at all when the wheel is turned )ie no volume, bass, treble or balance). The rest of the MCP works fine to change sources, radio stations etc Brian
