Hi George, As suggested I would first try changing the 2103 capacitor, because it only takes a minute if you know how to solder. Also, could you not type in all capital letters? It makes it harder on the eyes, and looks like you're shouting. Austin

Hi Mike, welcome to beoworld! The 6500 is a great system. The beolink 1000 remote, which you can always find on ebay easily, will easily control all the everyday usage functions of your system. It can't however be used for any kind of programming. If you want a newer fancier remote, the Beo4 will also work fine. If you want to be able to use the

Hey Peter, I just wanted to let you know, I have a CD4500 open right now and the DAC chip is the TDA 1541A, not the 1541. Maybe this wasn't the case for all of them though, as I can only speak for the one in front of me. Austin

Hey Steve, As Peter was saying, the separate components, such as the CD player, tape player, and turntable, will each have an attached cord that then plugs into the 5500 receiver. You shouldn't need any additional cords, except for connecting the speakers. Austin

Yes, that is the case Van. I joined in April, and then upgraded to Gold in June. Sorry, when you originally said 'joined' I thought you were referring to the gold membership, as that's what the reminder was for. So yes, it looks like my reminder was sent based on when I first joined as a bronze member, not as a gold member. Thanks, Austin
