Beoplayer 5.00 has all +8000 stations installed in its database as far as I understand. However they are mainly inaccessable without connecting either a BeoPort, BeoMedia 1 or BeoSound 5. Once these are connected, the BeoPlayer 5.00 database is updated and you can file to a playlist, delete countries/languages etc.. to suit. BeoSound 5 seems to retain

Hi, I have had the same issue with all media players as you describe above. I have now decided on a definative (for me) file naming system to largely overcome this issue - although at a price:- I use the following nomclementure when tagging files in WMA:- 1. Albums are as stored in folders i.e. C:\Music\Various Chill\Chillout Lounge Vol1 \ Tracks1.

[quote user="Russ"] I hate to seem thick...but won't most customers for BM-5 have their complete music library on the administrating computer? Wouldn't this level of paranoia dictate that you have a backup of that HDD already? So, given that BM-5 is at worst a sub-set of an existing library, isn't a 2nd or 3rd back-up awfully,

Well here's what I have done and will do:- First and prior to the arrival of my BS5, I recorded ll my music onto 2 x 320Gb Freecom Toughdrives. One kept on my desk, onein a safe. The BM5 then "backed-up" on of the 320gb drives. That has cost me approx GBP120 to have a double back-up of all my current music - +600 CD's ripped in WMA

I think the link is there to support the home theatre dream pushing bigger and bigger monitors. I think anyone with a 4m x 4m living room would consider themselves fortunate and with a larger than average room. Putting the recommended 100 incher in there I think is sad. It is to my mind all about compromise of living space, TV space etc... I would have

I agree, I think playing lossless wma file the sound is as good as CD. Very smooth, very B&O sound. Furthermore, I would state that the BS5 is a very good machine to operate and is no way fatally-flawed. I have suggested items which I personally would like to see in the machine which are in the main operability-based issues rather than technical

Hi, I (with hindsight) foolishly bought an el-cheapo keyboard ($8) and used a generic wired mouse (as not to load any extra non-XP drivers into the BM5). The fact is that you dont really need a keyboard - the BS5 input wheel is all you need to dial-in the Client Password (so that BeoPlayer PC can access the music directory on the BM5). If you only have

Liberal, One last try. Something I note is peculiar on my system and contrary to the Product Configuration Guide. Try setting the Bs9000 to Option 2. Go to Roles in the BS5 advance settings (>, <, >, <. GO) Set the BM5 to Option 0. Set the Audiomaster to YES (PCG indicates NO) Powerlink from the BS9000 to the loudspeakers Give that a try

Stefen, Tantalising isnt it? All these combos!!. However, because the BS9000 has software 3.3 and not 3.4 , It wont be able to accept Option 5 and 6. Also, my set-up is very similar to yours in that the BV7-40 is a master (and I dont have a BS9000). However, it has always been an assumtion of mine that the TV - as Video Master is a very powerful component

I have no idea if this is possible (with Macs) but have you tried to embed the cover-art into the music files? I know with WMP 10, and embedded files seems to work more reliably than associating tag-on files. Can you embed with iTunes? 10%
