Mit Mac hat man keine chance "gapless" abzuspielen was fuer Konzerte manchmal wichtig ist. D.h. zwischen jedem Titel ist eine kurze Pause. Nur bei dem Windows Media Format das man vom Mac nicht generieren kann gehts ohne Pausen zwischen den stuecken.

The Apple TV I think is most commonly used even though one can argue about its qualities. Mini Mac is in my opinion a good idea if you can work out the connection to the TV. I don't recall anybody using a windows media center with Beo4. Popcorn hour yes, TVix, yes. I know some don't like boxee but I just need it to play my movies from the NAS

I think nobody responded because we discussed this to death. I have an Apple TV with Boxee.tv, movies on a NAS and a BV8 that allows Beo 4 control through STB.

i highly doubt this that there would be a picture and a website and we wouldn't know about it way in advance and on top no mentioning in the financial reports. Typically the year before launch it they have hints in there. So No. Also this doesn't look that special to me .....

Many years back, there was actually an interview with the Beosound 5 designer where he explained the concept as a tablet, that people could hold at a cocktail party with one hand and operate and walk around with. Note that this was supposed to be the Beosound 5, not the 2 way remote some are waiting for. JK

The STBs are different from country to country to consider local products. I remember that when I got my BV8 USA version and tried finding out about the Apple TV Remote. It could even be that the dealer added it during setup ...... Cheers JK

Honestly to me the Beoport is end of life and they should actually stop selling it. I would have been very much surprised if they have any plans at all besides barebones maintenance. For the Beosound 5 to be taken seriously as a high end digital player, it should not have the gaps. For a year 2000 device that was acceptable but now it's 2010 and
