I had a 5-minute demo of this whilst in the factory last week - and i can say it was pretty impressive. The clarity of the image is breathtaking, really. The glasses were a bit, err.. well, let's just say there were 2 of us sat side by side watching - and we looked like 'The Proclaimers' having a night in together..

After 2 pages of pontification, I can confirm the BeoSound 9000 is NOT discontinued. Lee
