Here is another refurbish project on the Beomaster 4000. As I have been following Søren's (Mexico) project I have been preparing to begin mine. Part of the preparation was to get a capacitor kit from Dillen which I now have. My goal is to refurbish my first BM-4000 so that it will be a dependable receiver I can use every day. In my case,

Thanks Chartz, I did try it without the extenders but then there were several non-functioning buttons. There is a sticker on the back of the CDX from an authorized repair shop in the area so I am thinking that the extenders might have been done at that time. I don't know the year. The manufacturing date for my CDX is 1986. I did do a thorough cleaning

I have been repairing a Beogram CDX (with help from Dillen). The main problem was a broken (left) hinge attachment. I was able to repair that using the technique outlined by Medogsfat in this forum. Boy Leslie, that's the whole deal - mounting bracket on a swivel and wall plate. I have the plain-jane wall plates (no swivel) that I am looking to get a pair of mounting brackets for. Are you looking to sell those? -sonavor

Hi, I have a pair of Redline 60.2 speakers without stands and a pair with stands. The stands contain a mounting bracket that can be detached and used on a wall mount (which I have). The pair with stands I am currently using. I am looking for another pair of the mounting brackets so I can use my second set of speakers mounted on a wall. Does anyone have

I just picked up a really nice looking Beomaster 4000. It has the humming issue being reported. Do you have any more information about the problem? Is it usually a problem with the transformer? I noticed this about the humming problem - When I plug in the Beomaster 4000 but still have the unit power switch turn off, I can feel a very faint vibration

Thanks again Geoff. That is really useful information for keeping these vintage stereos in good working order. -Sonavor

That's great information Geoff. I hadn't heard of Perspex before. Is it hard to cut into shape?
