Think I'm gonna join that Audiokarma forum as well.
I must warn you that many members of Audiokarma are a little hostile against B&O. Have been trying to convince them that they were/are evolutionary in design and specs, but they seem to ignore me when I examplify

I've been cleaning my Beo with Goof Off sheets.
Chartz - As the arm gets to the correct place on the record, theres a very short (very) before the needle drops. However, it is quite a harsh drop, so I'm hoping a cap replace will assist this?
You may want to read this .

  • Re: earthing turntable to Beomaster 4000

According to the user guide, the grounding screw is right next to the speaker 1 inputs, at the very right end of the back (and thus behind the volume slider).

My BM4000 has a ground screw. Perhaps you're just missing the screw? If memory serves, it's near the speaker cable inputs - straight back from the bass slider maybe?

  • Re: Beogram RX type 5773 Dustcover reinstallation

Welcome to Beoworld, John. Sorry nobody has chimed in to help, but the RX and its decendent the RX2 don't get much attention here. I do not have an RX, but do have two RX2s. If memory serves, the clips and cover are the same on both decks. Since nobody else has chimed in, I'll take some photos of an RX2 when I get home and post them tonight

  • Re: Flash your B&O!

Ah, the LPs are hidden - I should have guessed. I keep most of my media in closets as well. Your ratio is just fine! In the film "It Might Get Loud," Jimmy Page's listening room is filled wall to wall and floor to ceiling with vinyl. When I have that many LPs, maybe I'll display them like Page does!

Soren: very nice. No such thing as "too many stereo components." (I still need to convince my wife of this.) May I suggest one thing? Your LP to turntable ratio needs to increase. Looks like it's about 5 or 10 to 1. You need to get that above 50:1!

  • Re: I need more bass!

I hope you have experimented with placement. Generally speaking, moving loudspeakers toward room boundaries (wall, floor) will reinforce bass. I have one of my S45-2s right in a corner and the other almost backed to the wall. I am very happy with the bass response (and I also have M70s with 10" woofers). Without going into any physics or anything

  • Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?

Lest anyone think I'm living in the garage, it was back into the proper listening chair in front of the best system this evening. Started with some Jethro Tull on vinyl. "Hope you don't mind if we sit this one out" "And your wise men don't know how it feels..."
