Hi all I have a MK1 6000 with s/w version 2.1. Are there any benefits of upgrading to 2.5, and if so, can I do this at home since (I believe) its just a software update? Also, what is the number displayed under the country code and software version? Thanks

Hi Do you know if the latest STB-C table for an Avant (non-RF, VCR model) is 3.91? If so, can you point me in the right direction of where I can find out what devices are on this list before I actually pay for an upgrade. Thanks

My setup is as follows: I've plugged the Virgin box into the middle SCART socket on the Avant. When I switch on the V+ (using its own remote) it switches the Avant on too (in DVD mode). The IR blaster is plugged into the back of the Avant and the other end stuck onto the V+ Next I went into the Setup menu of the Avant, went to Sources then DVD.

I have an Avant with STB-C and a Virgin V+ box. I just can't seen to get the STB-C to do its job! Can anyone please walk me through how I should have the two linked Maybe I have the Virgin box plugged into the wrong SCART socket or something! Please help!!

Hi all I have a 28" Avant thats around 7 years old now so won't control much in the way of modern STB's. It seems really easy to upgrade the STB-C as its just a plug in chip so is there a way to get hold of it and do it yourself? Do you need any special tools? Oh and finally, will it be able to control my Virgin V+ box, including the recording

Wow.....thanks for the detailed response. I am a bit of an Avant fan - mainly for the excellent sound. Can I ask a few more questions to clarify? 1. Can I connect more than one external device (e.g. the Virgin V+ box and a DVD Recorder) to one of the avants and have the STB control them both (assuming I have the right STB software for both devices)

Hi All I'm very new to B&O and have recently purchased two 28" VCR Avants (both with a ML socket) and plan to purchase a 32" DVD Avant in the near future. I have a Virgin V+ box plugged into one of the 28" Avants and plan to have another external device attached to one of the others (not sure what yet..perhaps a DVD recorder)
