Razlaw: Can you direct me to a web page or something that specifically and explicitly says that only certain panels will handle 100hz? What do you base that statement on? Also, when B and O says they are working on 100hz technology as you say, how do you know that means a panel and not the processor? If I read your post correctly you are saying no LCDs
-
Razlaw: Take A look at this video. About 30 seconds into it the speaker states that LCDs already operate at 100hz or higher rates, and then explains what the new 100hz technology is. If LCDs already operate at 100hz or more, then isn't perhaps software and processing, not hardware? Please Explain: 100Hz - TVs Yes, recent LCD TVs do, on the whole

wallace: Hello The Display of the BV 7 MKIII is named: LTA400HS-LH2. If you google that, you find information about it's specification (resolution, brithtness etc). But there's nothing about the Herz. So, would'nt it be possible, that the Herz-Question is just a software one? I really hope so:) It tells you in the Service Menu that it's

Razlaw: Bv7Mk3 I am looking forward to it. We were very luck with the Beolab 9s in that we happened to visit the store at a time when they had a pair that had been on display for one month that they were selling at a 40 % discount. That's mental. Makes no sense. I've just bought some year-old BL9's and 'only' obtained a 20% discount
-
martin01: And it is a LARGE improvement. I expected you'd say that. Good for you. Glad you see a massive improvement to your Blu-ray viewing experience with the update.
-
timhanna: Nope. I thought my dealer told me that there were 3 HDMI connections! Can you tell me more about that 2 HDMI sockets BV7-32. What would need replacing? My TVs type number is: 9334 If your dealer said there were 3 HDMI connections, I'd ask them to take the TV back. In the UK, if we're sold something which isn't the same as described
-
timhanna: To put this all into context, i received it (BV7-32 MK3 + BL7-4 + Floor Stand + Beo5) brand new yesterday and now wish i never got rid of my AVANT! Didn't you know before you bought the TV? Also, an upgrade BV7-32 - with two HDMI sockets - is due relatively soon.
-
seanklemis: oh another quick question is the BV7 every going to be upgraded with a Blueray player for example a MK4 that woudl be more worth wait.. Who knows? I don't think we'll see a MKIV this year, personally. I think B&O are working on the new BV7-32 chassis. How long are you prepared to wait? Like any new technology, wait a little longer

Yep, Mailbox store is re-opening soon, Worcester is closed for good. Products are back with B&O UK. BUT proceed with care - my beef with B&O UK at the moment is that it appears that they're selling these goods to end users, without testing, cleaning or checking the products. Really. Compare this to Apple. Ex-demo and refurbished products

jk1002: True, but then take a look at the BV 7-40. Similiar expensive but still seems to be a decent value compared to the rest of the range. When I first looked at the Avant, it was 10,000$. Now, may years later, the BV7 is around 14K here in the US. I somehow feel that is reasonable. Actually considering currency fluctuations teh BV7 seems to be a
