  • Re: Beogram 5005 questions...

Well I too like my music but I don't think I've anywhere near as many records as that! Nice to see you've done some research as to the model of Beolink you need, you'll be just fine with the one you've ordered. The loudness function can be really annoying can't it? For tuning purposes you don't really need an aeriel, just

Wow Kris, judging by the photo's you really love your music. Glad you've got it sorted out, it really isn't too difficult to bend a bit of metal is it? The MMC3 is a really nice cartridge and a definate step up from the MMC4 (I have one of each). Personally I would keep it and play it into the ground until it needs replacing, when that time

I was going to suggest something similar myself Graham but the OP mentioned the mechanism was broken. In retrospect I suspect you may be right as I cannot for one moment think the actual mechanical parts have failed. It does sound like the stock dealer answer that was given in all honesty. Chris.

Very sorry to hear of your problems Jumbo Isn't it typical that a serious issue crops up just the wrong side of warranty? This is the first I've heard of any problems with the CD mechanism of a BS1 (or any other B&O product which are normally pretty well designed & built). I think you've simply being unlucky which doesn't help

  • Re: the new (trans) portable BO player

Craig: Have these been on the Forum before? They look familiar. Craig They have indeed Craig, not sure if they were on here or the old forum though. Out of curiosity, they're very nice and all that, but do any of our members actually own any of these? Chris.

  • Re: Refoaming S45s?

It simply levers out but quite a bit of force is required as it will have become stuck over time. A bit of a leap of faith is all that's required. Chris.

wirralsimon: Alex: I can listen to music through my stereo and still scrobble it with Last.FM. I haven't got a clue what you are talking about! Simon Simon, you have to shift your paradigms for Alex sometimes, he's one of us but not always on the same planet. I've no idea what he's on about either. ""whisper"""
