Ah bad wording woops! It's got to be the lens that turns the sound into something so very real. I was only thinking last night, that so long as i only listen to B&O my hearing should be preserved, because when i was watching the TV i noticed that i had the volume quite low, but could hear every word and nuance. By what you said you'll be using them for, i'd reccomend the BL8000's and the BL2, for a beautiful, discreet, with plenty of kick and rumble for movies. But because they cost arond the same as BL9's it is personal preference. The BL9's are fantastic, but would be more so appreciated when listening to music. Of course if money isn't

I am just wondering if it is alright to use a high definition set top box with a Beovision 3, or will the resolution be too high for the screen, resulting in a grainy picture? Thanks for any advice on this!

I did not put the BL3's at the bottom! They are as a whole not as good as BL9's, hence they are hlaf the price. Sorry to be so blunt, but this is forum. I don't deliberately tread on peoples toes!

Synergy: Of course,the 3s are far from perfect and not the last word in transparency,but I do like their coherance,especially at lower volumes. We also have the 8000s but I prefer the solidity and more natural top end of the 3s.Mine don't sound bright at all,partly because the room isn't acoustically reflective/live. Synergy: I had the 9s at home for a week,played them for 10-12 hrs a day, desperately wanting them to break in before I made a decision.The top end sounded very hard too. Better not mention the breaking in phenomenon in front of the Beoworld naysayers. A complete relief to listen to the 3s after. I am also not a fan of the BL5s. Never heard them sounding

Ok, then why not utilise the excellence of the HDR2 for recording TV programs, and use a Beocenter 2 for DVD and CD playback? That would then be aesthetically stunning, and perfectly functional - the way B&O intended! The DVD2 is just a reboxed, tweaked Philips DVD recorder. Nothing spectacular IMHO.
