From memory - as I sold this system a couple of years ago! You need a Beolink PC2 which was renamed as Beoport. This connects to your computer with USB cable and to the 3000 via Masterlink. Comes with a software on CD but you can download the latest version from the B&O website. Suggest that you look on eBay for local prices.

Local engineers, if trained at all, will only be able to recognise the general area in the set that is faulty and then replace the offending board or boards. They are really only fitters rather than electronic technicians! So even if your B&O service agent had trained their staff in your particular model they would soon find that the boards are

The earth on the Beogram and the earth on the Amplifier should be at the same potential to prevent mains hum. Suggest that you connect the metal shield on the DIN plug from the deck to the chassis of the amplifier. This should cure the problem. Your volume problem is mainly caused by the fact that the MMC cartridge output is significantly lower than

Not quite true! What they are saying is, because that particular model was not imported into Uruguay, they are not set up to service it. Their engineers have probably never been trained on that model as there were none in the country. Quite understandable in my opinion. However, any real TV repair shop should be able to fix it. All 9500's left the factory with "Beocenter 9500" written on the left rear flap. 9300's had a blank flap with not even a space for the writing. It is possible that the flap could have been replaced, as the only one available form spares stock is that from the 9300. In my experience this does happen as I have replaced several myself

What are you waiting for man!!! Take his money before he changes his mind!!!!!

1200 $AUS !!!! How much is that in £? MMC stands for Moving Micro Cross. The B&O equivalent of a Moving Magnet cartridge. Not made by B&O any longer and probably worth £50-70 or more on it's own, depending on type.

I hear what you say Peter but they "all" have foam rot!!
-
The short answer is "not a lot"! The MMC cartridge, if it's a good one, is the most valuable part and is worth selling on it's own. You may get £50 for the rest of it. Ebay will be the best place to sell, without a doubt.
