Guys, can we stop swapping notes on pictures of your TV in a discussion about sw 4.24?

timhanna: I dont know whats up with B&O, with my brand new BV7-32, 1 week old, keeps on crashing all the time, this is not really on. Have you had the TV for a long time, the replacement one? You don't want to know about my recent BV8-26 experience. Well, you probably do, but it's between me and B&O UK. Not good, not impressed. Every

Razlaw, what do you think of the picture on your BV7-40? Watch a high-quality Blu-ray (Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe is a good recent example) and I'd be surprised if you gave the PQ less than 9/10 :)

Martin, the white flash is about 8-10cm from the bottom of the screen, using PS3 games. Your suggestion will not work, as you would need to seriously enlargen/resize the picture to move the white flash off the screen.
-
Beolab: Have anyone notice that the picture gets all brightened up when playing Blue-ray? Regards Sadly I can't do any more testing for a week as I lent my PS3 to a friend. However, I noticed absolutely no difference, apart from a slight improvement with panned landscapes. You *can* see an improvement, but it's not perfect.

Alex: The BeoSystem 3 is worth ~£5k No it isn't. Would you really save up and pay that? The BS3 is worth around £2K, tops. Plus, B&O should be offering a package deal when people intend to purchase a BV4, BS3 and BL10. Alex, you really would go out and spend £9K on a brand new BV7-40? Think about whether you would actually

1080p is really non-essential. Indeed, it makes upscaled SD content more blocky and pixelated - SD football is dreadful on a 1080p screen. So, depends on what you want to do. If you're a big Blu-ray and HD movie fan, 1080p is fine. If you watch SD content, upscaled DVDs, 720p is a better option for now.

TripEnglish: Whether or not the Samsung panel is good or not, I have to trust my eyes. Absolutely. I'm in total agreement that the BV7-40 MKIII panel is superb, with the right source. I was showing the B&O engineer The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe on Blu-ray, with uncompressed PCM, and he agreed you'd struggle to find a better AV experience
-
martin01: Go into the picture-menu and put the "size"-potentiometer one step below maximum, and then YOU GET RID OF THE WHITE FLASHES! That's not a fix. I'm re-sizing my image on the TV to fix a problem that shouldn't exist? Do not use capitals Martin, either. Also, I don't know about you, but the white flash on the PS3 is

355f: Hand select a samsung panel- come on even you cant believe that! Samsung dont make quality products- they make cheap products for the mass market. I rarely agree with 355f, but Trip you're seeing the world of B&O through very rose coloured glasses. From a business persepective, can you imagine how many panels come off Samsung's line
