Hans, The dealers have been provided with an upgraded version (1.10) of the Beo5 Configuration Tool which provides them which many bug fixes and extra functionality hopefully to provide you with a better future service.

Sandy, What TripEnglish is trying to say is that in all houses the power is on several "Ring mains". In a small house you would have a ring for downstairs sockets, another for upstairs and one for the Kitchen etc which all go back to the main box with a seperate circuit breaker. The Pwerlink socket on the converter is an input and is ONLY used/necessary if no speakers are to be connected to the audio system. So, in such a situation the Powerlink on the audio system is connected to the Powerlink socket on the converter

There was a problem with the STB controller which gave this type of problem and would mostly effect NTL boxes. The soloution was to upgrade the software in the STB-C to software version 3.2 table 2,1, or higher. The latest STB tables and either 3.90 or 3.91 depending on which box you are using. I suggest you get your dealer to update the STB controller

Interesting that Tiscali support believe it is a known problem, they either said that to get you off the phone or several customers with products such as yours have really been having problems.. If it is really a problem they know about with their line drivers, then they may well fix it by replacing the driver card for a new one. Lets hope this really
