  • Re: Just Bought A Beogram 1902

Jandyt: Might be an idea to take of the cartridge first to avoid Mobing it . To explain this....... "Mobing" something is a Beoworld expression which has come to mean trashing your B&O. Taken from the exploits of our very own doyen of the site & much admired member mobeyone who has a slightly chequered history when it comes to some

  • Re: Shipping a Beogram 8000

h1npw: I would disagree slightly with Chris with regards to removing the cartridge due to the risk of one or more of the 4 pins that stick out of the back of the cartridge falling out of their holes and thus rendering the cartridge useless. Peter alerted me to this risk - I don't know how often it happens and therefore how big a risk it is.....but

  • Re: MX 4500: Speaker damaged. Service manual to change by myself?!

As a Bronze member I assume you didn't download the service manual from Beoworld. The one on this site is fine and available to Silver & Gold members. Member nobby may be able to help with the speaker. Chris.

Hi Rob, welcome to Beoworld There are 3 transport screws underneath to tighten which stops the chassis moving around on its suspension. Remove the cartridge

  • Re: MMC cartridge revitalization?

Can cause any number of problems Andy, skating, distortion, lack of any sound at all the list is quite long. If your cartridge sounds fine then I'd say just leave it alone until it finally gives up the ghost. There doesn't seem to be any consistancy in why the suspension fails. I've seen it in new old stock items yet I have other well used

  • Re: Beogram 5500 tracking issue

Good call, if the SMMC4 is anything to go by you won't be disappointed. Many Beoworld members have bought from soundsmith and we truly recommend them, delivery can be a but slow though so don't panic, they are generally hand made to order. Let us know how you get on. Chris.

  • Re: In need of help, please!

Hi, from your description it sounds like the caller ID function telling you that you have a missed call. If you aren't subscribed to caller ID then you need to cancel the function in the set up menu. If you do have caller ID then simply press the relevant small triangular button at the top of the keypad until you see a number marked as "new
