I can confirm it was intended as a line out. With regards to your apparent "Line in" problem. Can you still control the Beoport form the PC ? The only fuse will be in your mains plug, I suggest you start by powering down the Beoport and other items on the Masterlink and then power up again after a few minutes.

Rob, If you wish to put a SCART cable through a wall with the smallest hole possible, I suggest you pull the pin out of the SCART at one end and replace them on the other side of the wall. In fact you can get SCART plug kits from Radiospares just for this task. Also, I would suggest that you don't use adapters.

Hagen, RF interference is actually very difficult to track down because it can be caused by so many everyday products and is transmitted in one of two ways:- Via the air as in normal radio & TV transmisions Via a electrical conductor which is not connected to earth such as mains wiring. Hagen, Your feedback is most interesting, but as you have said it raises as many questions as it does provide answers. In my view if the problem is caused by RF interference, then it is going to be in the range 400-500 Khz. I would also start focusing on the mains except for one point and that when you used your home-made Faraday cage, your LC2 worked

Derek, To reset the Phonebook, Caller ID, Redial List and all registered handsets on a Mark I Beocom 6000 (I am assuming that is what you have, in other words you have a DOT button at the 9 o'clock position of the dial) Press the DOT placed followed by 70008 and then OK (in the middle of the wheel) to reset the base. Press the DOT followed by 70009

Which type of Beolab 4 do you have, the standard version with Powerlink or the PC version without ? Also, since you had the unit has the volume ever worked correctly ?
