What you've experienced is a standard problem for many luxury brands: treating the starting customer less well than the established, full range customers. With the selection of products you have bought, you represent an entry-level customer for the dealer, as the products you have purchased do not carry the same Swiss Francs margins that some of

Daniel Seiler: I also asked about a new unit, but my dealer declined to do that, he said he is not obliged to do so, only repairs are included in warranty. So okay, i will see what the repair now shows... perhaps afterwards the radio doesn't work anymore... Your dealer obviously is confused as to what brand he is working for. Get in touch with the

The Infrant ReadyNAS streams movies without any trouble. It actually sets up with MOVIES - MUSIC - PICTURES as default folders. If you connect through ethernet to your media centre, then you get glitch-free streaming. But with Apple's most recent Airport base station (the -n series) you shouldn't have any trouble streaming wirelessly. I bought

iRed/IRtrans work very nicely. There was a long write-up in a German Mac publication that put me on to what those programs can do in emulating the functions of a Beo4. Then Beo4VRC came along, and everything is good - because it's what I've been looking for. I'm setting up a stand-alone NAS server, with all my music and movies -- this will

That goes for almost all speakers other than BeoLab 5s. However, I'm impressed that 3s managed to sustain a decent amount of bass outdoors. Of course

That's actually a compliment. PM me a mail address, and I'll send you a copy.

Alex: And difficult for a speaker, it'll have to work as hard as it can to reproduce the correct amount of bass. I agree though, I've listened to my far-field monitors outdoors before, and they really sound far better! Yes, the bass has nothing to work off. But using the BL3s like this, close in (headphones!), gives a distinct foundation to

Alex: It certainly does! I could imagine being there with mist rising off the lake... It's actually quite nice to sit outside and listen, in a quiet spot. And it's very quiet here. You get absolutely no room reflections, of course, just the direct sound -- can be most revealing, and enjoyable. View from the dock:

Alex: Actually they reminded me more of: Note how precise and directional the beam is. Great design!
