Not completely sure I would put a $700 cartridge on a Beocenter that often sells for £20! I do find the pricing structure at Soundsmith mystifying though. The SMMC4 sells for $150 compared to the SMMC20E which sells for $230. However the SMMC1 sells for $700 but the SMMC20CL+ sells for $650. The reason I query this is that these would seem to

Couple of points: -The picture was removed before any contact from B&O - they did contact us afterwards and thank us. -The picture was very small, blurred and quite frankly added nothing to our knowledge apart from spoiling the B&O build up. The sketch on the other thread is actually far more revealing! That is however an artist's impression

Should be here for Christmas and priced just below the Beocom 2. Around £600. Doesn't really grab me but certainly fills a gap.

Get your existing one retipped. It will be cheaper and perfectly adequate.

Martin (Dillen on site) will be able to supply belts. These are very advanced decks - the counter is real time. I have the similar looking but even more complex 9000! If the cosmetics are good and the display all works, you should have a good one - once you get rid of the black goo!
