  • Re: Guy's Line-Up

You've got plenty of Mac users here who can help you with things, installing Windows will be the only thing which keeps you using a PC. If you use OS X, you'll never look back (which is definitely a good thing). Chris, why do you have to use Vista?

  • Re: finally I switched.....

soundproof: The Edge Dinovo keyboard is perfect with its integrated mousepad. It also has media controls. You just have to swallow hard and accept that the Apple-Command key equivalent carries a Windoze logo, and is where the alt-key is on a Mac keyboard. You must be JOKING! My desk has been Microsoft free for over a year and a half now!

  • Re: I hate to mention the W word, but?

All over the OS. Try deleting a song in iTunes, it will automatically highlight 'Remove' in blue, just press enter to activate this button. I personally don't like the whole moving mouse thing, I found it just confused me...

I really wouldn't! Stick with Mac OS, you'll pick it up in no time at all. Wait a bit though, there are still quite a few bugs they need to iron out of Leopard.

  • Re: Beolab 4s left not going on stand by

That would be because the MacMini will have a much lower noise output in comparison to the PC (Macs generally have much higher quality sound cards built in).

  • Re: High Definition on an Avant 32 RF/DVD

Think of it like taking a low quality image off the internet, and then blowing it up to fill the screen. In a standard definition signal, there are generally around 500 'lines' of information (one line being a row of pixels across the screen). HD is made up from 720 or more lines of information across the screen. Extra lines can be added in, but the

  • Re: Import iTunes library

Hold down the ALT key whilst opening iTunes (some of your open programs may disappear, just click their icon again to get them back). A window will appear asking you to either 'cancel', 'create new library' or 'choose library'. Click 'choose' and select the file I_Itunes library. Finder should highlight as the only 'acceptable' file in the folder.

  • Re: BS 3...is it worth it?

The BeoSystem 3's upscaling (ability to make an SD source look like an HD source) is unlike anything else I've ever seen on the market. Picture wise, there's nothing out there like it. Even the latest Pioneer panels don't seem to come close to the picture made on the current B&O systems (except for the motion artifacts, that's something you can still

  • Re: Which TV in home cinema setup?

Compare the connections on the new BeoVision 7-40 to that of the 7-32!

  • Re: Just installed........

Up and running! I was planning on waiting a while, but the early reports seemed very very positive, so I thought I'd take the risk and I'll admit I'm very very impressed. Much faster the Tiger, and much nicer to use!
