Well, there are no secrets. But as I am not a sponsor of this site I cannot put ads up in public. However, it is commonly known that capacitor kits, lamp kits, belt sets and other service kits exists for many purposes, though mainly for 1965-1990 audio stuff. The kits I can supply are put together by me and are available only from me. The kits are put

Welcome to Beoworld ! I agree, capacitors can never be ruled out but there is also the LDR casing, that is the actual volume controlling device. Inside the LDR casing are 4 LDR's and a lamp. If the lamp burns, the Beomaster will mute. If the fault is indeed this, I can probably help you to a good used replacement device (or your own can be repaired

If the "startup"-board is the one at the back with the fuses etc. then I suggest you take a good look at the board and the fuses. If the relay(s) does not click, check that you got all the cables and connectors back on correctly. Eventully, check for cracked solder joints at the connectors. Martin

Yep, actually four pieces, and the two center pieces are not identical ! One has a sloping edge at one side. Martin

Yes, but don't rule out a broken PCB track. I've seen too many. Martin

It could be a little dust or other debris or it could rub on something. Hard to diagnose per remote. Martin

If it is indeed a LM324N, it consists of 4 identical circuits. That's 4 individual OpAmps that can be set to work in each their function. One circuit (or part of one circuit) can easily go bad with the other three working normally. Nothing strange about that. Martin

I agree. It's a LM324N if I remember correctly, so a very cheap and common IC. Martin

Hmm.. Cooling spray on the components could maybe shed some light on it. Or on the board itself, I've seen lots of cases where a copper track has breaked away from a solder pad, right where they meet, and the symptoms can then easily be temperature dependant. Martin
