David: What do we think of this.....? Good use of the space. I think you can move the speakers about a foot away from the wall on either side, towards the television, and you'll get an even better focus of your sound relative to where you are seated. And I suspect the standing lamp on the right might balance the effect of the recess on the left

pedrompinto: in my opinion there are several mistakes concerning the speakers positioning... like soundproof said it's a waste of BL5s. another thing is the user positioning, you'll never be in the center of the stage. But you can choose! Music for the left ear or music for the right ear, depending on which side of the room you choose to sit

Well, HMDI and Blu-Ray or HD/DVD are formats and technologies with a dual purpose: 1. Provide consumers with a better image and sound. 2. Provide content owners with an ability to lock content to prevent inappropriate use. Some claim that 1 is the bait to make 2 simpler. A waste of a pair of BL5s.

Dillen: Interesting indeed though I wouldn't call these products vintage... I must be getting old. Actually, I AM getting old or at least feeling old, I have heard songs from my mid-80's highschool-days presented in the radio as oldies ... Martin Yes, and played by a presenter who was born at least ten years after the songs premiered ...

Would really be a damn shame if you leave BeoWorld over this, Synergy. I found it very refreshing that there would be a member with a musical background as a performer on the forum, and hope you'll reconsider. I think you can bring a lot of important insights to the discussions here! And as to your original point - yes, the BL3s can do with a little
-
David: I did not put the BL3's at the bottom! They are as a whole not as good as BL9's, hence they are hlaf the price. Sorry to be so blunt, but this is forum. I don't deliberately tread on peoples toes! Nah, it's OK. They were some really broad assertions, though. Quoting you: The BL3's are incredible. The BL9's are twice as
-
David: Synergy: Of course, the 3s are far from perfect and not the last word in transparency, but I do like their coherance, especially at lower volumes. We also have the 8000s but I prefer the solidity and more natural top end of the 3s.Mine don't sound bright at all, partly because the room isn't acoustically reflective/live. The 9s really were
