Dillen: They are indeed different: 8480174 Upper Woofer (closed magnet) - also used in CX50 8480173 Lower Woofer (ventilated magnet) Martin Just so I don't feel left out - yes they are different. BTW the part number has changed for the replacement bass driver, unfortunately I can't remember where I wrote it down. Chris.

ArgyleMoss: the excitement just caused my BT Broadband to go down for 2 minutes. I had a real panic on then. But back now........... Whoa - spooky...... my Sky broadband just did the same. Chris.

PRIZEMEN: It is a waste of your money, that's for sure, but perhaps are these persons a friend of someone of beoworld.... Yes of course you're right, most of us are friends of Beoworld on here. And for the record - I have been a gold member AND moderator from the outset and haven't won a bean yet and I couldn't care less. I pay my subscription

Craig: Could still do with some answers about the covers or recovering of them though. Craig Spray mount & a stipple brush are the chappies Craig. Stick the cloth with evostick in the grooves where the straps go first to give you some stability then a decent spray with spray mount over the B&O logo part follwed by a few minutes of stippling

You're absolutely right about packaging Jeff. Whovever packed your 4000 obviously had on idea. My coments re:- the 5000 series is borne through experience. The tangential tracking beograms in general travel far better than the radial types due to the counterweights on the tone arms of the latter shaking around in transit and breaking the tonearm

bunchoffives: I guess I can post my question here and avoid muddying up the forums... My CD 50 has been giving me some problems. It was working fine until a month or so ago when it began to shut down randomly while I was playing CDs. Now it doesn't seem to be able to go more than 45 seconds without powering off, and most of the time it's completely

Puncher is spot on. The main thing is the Beomaster, the CD player takes its commands from there which in turn gets the commands from the MCP or whatever compatible remote you are using. The datalink codes are the same between the Bemaster 6500 & the CD50 so there will be no problem at all. PS. Don't forget to put the CD in label side down Chris

britops: Can we vote for PrizeDrawBot ? I doubt it, where do you think the parts for the trophies are coming from? Chris.

barto: whats the best way to make sure the polarity is correct? Dead easy, as stated as long as both ends are connected the same it doesn't matter. Easiest way is to wire up the male (plug) connector first then plug it into the female connector and check the wires are the same way round before attaching that end. Chris.
