Have been doing a bit of work on the 4400 now. 31 capacitors replaced, considering myself to be just about halfway done. Martin sent me a PM about the missing 47uF caps, he kindly offered to send them, free of charge. Now I move on to the more populated part of the main PCB, a bit tough to work around with.

I will see if I have the time to make more progress tonight - a large social science report has stolen quite a bit of my spare time this week. And gongratulations with your 4400, hoping that the fault is easily fixable. My Father's 4400 just got the death scentence, the whole output stage, including small-signal transistors are gone unfortunately

The Converter could be faulty or not functioning with your system, I have seen a couple problems with the commercial 4-wired ones as they are made for tape recorders. For the price of a male 5-pin DIN plug and RCA cable you can test it. Try the cable on "tape" with a CD-player.

The 7000 can be remote controlled by a Beolink 1000, very easy to obtain cheaply. The Record player is compatible with the Beomaster. Beoworld Member Peter Pan has made a whole bunch of easy-to-read diagrams of DIN-connections. If you use this diagram: Look at the red and blue leads, these are for sound going in the direction of the DIN-plug. "Højre

Please don't bin a 7000 system, it is the most valuable of the stackable series being the last one. You should get it repaired instead

Duh, forgot about the missing RIAA of the Beomaster 7000! Thanks for correcting

The Beomaster 7000 accepts pretty much any turntable, but the "Phono/play"-command only works with B&O turntable equipped with DataLink. The pioneer should play with RCA-plugs in the underboard (if is the same as the Beomaster 5500). Otherwise, turntables equipped without a DIN-plug can be connected to the Phono-DIN plug with a standard

Now in action, starting with the smaller module PCB's. The DIN connection module after firtting new capacitors - the 47 uF red cap replacement was not to be found in the kit. Though all the rest are present, here are pictures of extra board #1: Starting on the two red caps on the FM board now.

When I powered my Beocord 5000 up for the first time the capstan motor would begin to whine and smell burnt. I went for repair and the problem was not that big, can't remember what it was though
