Hi: Perhaps one or all of the memory batteries have expired. They are cell type (silver discs) and are either mounted to the boards in a plastic socket or soldered directly onto them. If this is the issue (I am taking an estimated guess) they will need to be replaced. I think they are fairly standard and can be bought from a shop like Maplin. However

Hi: I have had similar problems with my Beovision 1 connecting to my Xbox 360 but not any other item. I didn't fully resolve them but got it to work by using a scart to composite converter. I know the Xbox comes with one but I think this might have something to do with the pin outs in the scarts. I am using a fully pinned bi-directional scart to

Also, now when in stand-by, the stand-by light flashes on and off. It has never done this before. The TV functions perfectly apart from that, does anyone know why it has started doing this? Thanks Graham

However as a small project I would like to get the doorbell in my (rented) house working again as it is annoying when we get things delivered that it doesn't work. The house in which I live is a 4 bedroom family house with fairly high ceilings. I think it dates from around pre-1930s

Hi: Where do you live (UK?)? If so any Freeview box will do the trick and you can pick these up from any electronic store. I am unsure as to the roll-out of freeview in Europe - I have only spent long periods in Spain and France and in the places I stayed, they used cable or sky.

Hi: Someone should come along to correct me if I am wrong. A lot of the following advice is based on assumption having had a brief look at your "set top box": I have concluded that this is not a simple set top box at all but more of a mini media server. I think that this is running windows XP and as such is more PC than television receiver
