Just talked to BeoCare B&O tech support. They said that it may be problem with chassis and gave me part number as well as company who is servicing B&O in the NY area. Out of curiosity I called to get a quote for the part. They laughed when they heard that I wanted to replace chassis. Its about $4K, plus software needs to be loaded. Guy in Technitron

My BeoSystem 1 has label SW 5.0 on the back and it has two antenna inputs on top panel. I have not verified SW version in the service menu - but I will once I get back home tonight. My other hope is possibility of faulty VGA cable - one I use is kind of old. I have talked to Key DIgital tech support and on of their suggestions was to check cables -

Oh how I miss my BeoCenter 9000...

Very impressive specs - 50-20K However they are in-wall speakers and require more complex installation. I'd rather get something like wall hanging. B&W has few outdoor models: WM2 on ebay item # 260149237660

So I'm not alone here... You've precisely described my issue... I will test all resolution available to output by cable box one by one - to see if I have this issue with other resolutions. Also I can try connecting to another LCD screen I have which unfortunately does have VGA input either. So I can't avoid using converter. Beophile, Are

what do I need to link my 6500 to another room? "Linking to another room" may have few meaning in this case: 1. Link to another stereo system: example BeoSystem 6500 and BeoSound 3000 2. Link to another Set of speakers in the different room. I assume you are talking about having another set of speakers in the linked room. You have two option

Congratulations on your 6500! You did not say it was in white - that makes system special. See if you can get BeoLink 7000 to go with your System. 6500 is two way system which can send and receive information to remote. I am personally a remote freak and own every B&O remote from starting from 1980's (except Beo1 - hard to find in US) But this
