Hi Adam, Beolab 2500 speakers only have Powerlink inputs, so you need a Powerlink Trigger Box if you want to use them with a non-B&O system. This generates the necessary signals to power up the speakers, otherwise they will remain in standby mode. Most Beolab speakers have a "Line In" mode for use with non-B&O equipment, but these

I agree! I know the manual switching boxes are less than perfect in terms of the user interface, but as far as I am aware they are currently the only practical solution to this problem. However, I am working on an automatic version, hopefully to be ready by the summer. I would welcome comments from forum members to help steer the design process, eg

Hi Kevin, The simplest way is with an Aux Input Switching Kit, which will give you the ability to connect up to four items at once and select the one you want to listen to at the push of a button. If you need further assistance, feel free to ask! Best regards, Steve.

Hi, In Keith's absence, maybe I can help? Firstly, check all your cables are pushed in firmly and try all speakers on both channels (flick the switch from left to right channel) to see if the problem is present on all of them. This sounds like a poor connection, either in the source unit, one of the cables, or a speaker. If you have a spare cable

Wow! Thanks everyone! I really appreciate your kind words. I'm pleased to be able to offer something back to BeoWorld, as it is a superb site and it has fostered a true community spirit amongst B&O enthusiasts across the world. One of my favourite places on the internet! Best regards, Steve.

Hi Jon, I've sent you a message. Best regards, Steve.

Peter and Graham are correct (as always!) however, there is one important point to remember.... Beogram turntables without built-in pre-amps use pin 7 for Datalink and pin 6 for Data Ground, whereas BeoSystem 2300 will be designed to work with the later (pre-amplified) Beograms which use pin 6 for Datalink and pin 7 for Data Ground.
