Congrats, Keith... In my short tenure here on the new site, Keith has already answered and commented on a number of questions I have had... Very thoroughly I might add. -Sal

Unfortunately, most US B & O Dealerships, at least the ones that I have been to are very very small, to very small, and small. :-) B & O is a niche business here in the states, and the great majority of folks don't know what B & O is all about. I can't explain it, but many of the dealerships I have been to have been of the small

I was thinking... since Christmastime will be upon us in a couple of months.... what B & O have we given as gifts and to whom? I'll start (I mentioned this in the Where are we from? thread). I gave my parents a full set of Beocom 6000s (yellow, gray, black; 1 master base, 2 table chargers). They still use them to this day, and love them! They're

Love this thread, and it is indeed amazing and quite gratifying to see where everyone's from. I'll put in my two cents: I was born in Bombay, India, moved to the States when I was a child of four years (to New York City), now living and working in Indianapolis, USA. My father loves B & O but mother rules the roost, so the only thing(s) they

Now that's what I call service! I just need the Oak Street Store (Chicago) to reopen! LOL -Sal

Agreed, Being here in the States, check out the BV7 before fully deciding on the BV5. Classic, though it is, with the amount of money you're spending, you'd rather leave room to grow rather than buying something that is already obsolete... besides, you never know, you may like the BV7 so much that it will become your new "classic."

britpop: Sal: I love the way Mr. Lewis describes the television as the streetwise, robust, black sheep [of the B & O lineup]. I'd call it an ugly dust gatherer. Of course, as a typical B & O purchaser you're well-heeled enough to hire people to dust your B & O every hour on the hour, right? he he he -Sal

HAH! Appropriately our favorite brand is named: Bang (your head against the wall) & Olufsen. (thanks tom) -Sal

I know the fabric on the BL8000s is hooked on and can be removed with some skill. But I believe the top and bottom of the fabric on the BL6000 grille are glued in place, and would require a professional's help. What would you like to do with the fabric? And would it be easier to buy new different color grills if you want to change the color alone

Apologies if I missed the thread, but has everyone had a look at the short Beovision 8 flash presentation and "film" on the official B & O site (UK)? I love the way Mr. Lewis describes the television as the streetwise, robust, black sheep [of the B & O lineup]. Makes me even more excited about it's unveiling in the US next year
