Peter is correct ( again !!) The STB he refers to is a control system that allows the B&O product to control your digibox. standard on later MX's, most Avant variants, and all panel TV's. If your considering a new Bcen 6, then I suggest you contact your local dealer - put these questions to him/her, and you should be sorted - wether you

depends on layout ( IR clashes ) , video master etc...but a fair assumption is sprocket: Hi there... I was hoping someone could help me correctly option my setup. My setup is as follows: Living room: BV3 (dvd1, sky+) V Opt 2 Front room: BC1 (sky digi) VOpt 1 , BS9000 with BL8000 AOpt 1 ( unless 8000 are plugged into BC1, then its VOpt 2, AOpt 0 ) Kitchen

A home demonstration is the obvious solution - you may well find Blab 2 does 100% of what you need - the only way to know is to try it. Aside from personal preferences, bass reproduction relies on so many variants in the room ( construction, location, furnishings etc ) that really you need top try it out in-situ. Contact your local BeoShop.

Peter : It should work using the Powerlink socket. If you have an IR eye, you could use Masterlink and see if it will work that way, I take it that you are using it in the main room? Peter is, as always, spot on. One thought - what kind of powerlink cable did you use - to take the MCL out of standby, you need a fully wired version, not the thin MK1

I would also interested to hear anyones experience in setting up a system for live music using Beolabs.

Stan: This is just in the UK, correct? I'm *this* close to buying a BL3500 - just need to check out those pesky installation costs first. However, I've heard nothing of this offer in the US. Stan Stan - the offer in UK is different for new/existing users. If you already own a product ( verified by previous warranty registrations ) then as andy

rvanham: My dealer updated the sw on my BeoVision 7-40 MKIII from 3.5 to 4.12, now the TV has problems adapting from 4:3 format to 16:9. Before the TV switched between format 1, 2 or 3 automaticlly, however with the new sw it stays on the same format if you change channels. Anyone any ideas? thanks My idea/suggestion would be to call your dealer.

Martin Simpson - Prodigal Son. Splendid Album - saw him last year at Cambridge, the CD does not dissapoint. Also been giving the Robert Plant / Alison Kraus album a lot of time - it gets better & better. Guided by Voices rule in the car at the moment, follwed closely by Editors, whilst at work I have recently been subjecting colleagues to large

I would be very interested to know peoples thoughts on this. As a hi-fi system is essentially a tool for reproducing music, does it follow that a very good hi-fi system ( Lab 9's or lab 5's ) would be able to do a good job "live" - albeit there are obvious exceptions - I'm not suggesting a full rock band or a DJ set as they obviously

mmota: Thanks Simon, I've noted that B&O's products can become pretty addictive so if purchasing the 4000 I'll also get the BeoSound 4 but if I go for the 3's I'll have to wait to get the BS4. My initial thoughts are to get first the 4000's with the BS4, and afterwards I could move the 4000's to another room and buy other
