I did not do anything special. Just connected it and when I tried it, it caused the system to turn on.

I just tried a.opt 1 on my Beosound 1 and all worked fine. Your Beosound 1 works fine using the bittons on it, correct?

Are video and audio sources connected by Masterlink or separate systems?
