  • Re: HDMI

At that length, I would only purchase a cable I could return, and do a "dry run" before running it through a wall or mounting it permanently. Until you have had 20m HDMI fail day 1, it's all debate. Trust me.

@elephant, Your option never crossed my mind. Sounds great. I use BeoPort for streaming across the system, but do not use it for ripping in order to get better bitrate and a better codec (LAME). Once I have created all those folders with CDEX, it is just easier for me to use Explorer to drag and drop to new folders on the SD card. Plus I can name the

  • Re: Beosound 4 - Is it possible to create playlists with the SD Card?

It can be done, but it takes a couple of steps and is not perfect. 1. Rip CDs using a utility such as CDEX (open source) and use CDDB to get track names 2. Create new folders on SD card and give them playlist names 3. Copy tracks to playlists (folders) as desired. 4. All you have really done in this case is created "albums" of music with new

  • Speaker connections

I got a call yesterday from a customer who needs speaker cables for a BeoCenter 3500 matched to BeoVox S45 (US circa 1977). I cannot tell by looking at the manual, so can someone tell me which speaker plug is used for this connection, and would they be male or female. Thanks in advance. Ray

Sales tax in US ranges from 0-7.5%, depending on the state. The average is around 5%. But there are only 2 GSM carriers in US, and ATT has the iPhone.

  • Re: New Strategy for B&O

My take on Job's comments is that a. Blu Ray is still not a mature product, and b. When iTunes (and others) can channel 1080p to the far reaches of the world, all bets are off. And while many have said the same, people listen when Jobs says it. I just hope his health is better than he looked yesterday. Wouldn't it be interesting if B&O were

" In response to Trip's excellent post, I think B&O should adopt the new strategy of actually giving away it's products for free – although this could be problematic in the long term. I will be the first to sign up – A couple of pairs of Beolab 5s and a BV9 will do for starters and... oh yes one of those new Beosound 5 thingies
