Nice one Peter, They are many classics I would like to own but what I have in my poker room I am delighted with. Sat upon a lovely white Attyca stand is my BeoSystem 6500 in perfect condition (complete with MMC2) and mounted proudly on my walls are a pair of......wait for it........RL 60.2's in White. I know that the RL's aren't the best

If, as was the case here, they had supplied me with the digital receiver at the same time and not shown me the full function, then yes, I would point the finger. Legally I would not have a leg to stand on, but if I new the reason for the early demise of my Avant was due to lack of proper instruction on delivery of the equipment, then I would be very

I don't know how it works in your country, but in the UK the dealer has a responsibility to install and give full instruction on products they sell. The point I have been making is don't write it off just yet, speak to the dealer, get the service counters, ask B&O and they might be a positive outcome.

saf: True ... On the one hand I agree that 12 hours of watching TV everyday is quite a long time (luxury to some , perhaps), but on the other hand, there is nothing mentioned in the B&O manual eg, that if you do that and the product fails it's your 'fault' ... No, it isn't the individuals fault, infact in this case I would blame

rickluuk: The tube of my Beovision 3 just brokedown, after 6 years already. Now I am considering to buy a Beovision 8 32" , but this one doesnot have a surround sound module. Will this be available soon? First thing to do is get your dealer to check the useage, if it is shown to have had very little use in the 6 years that you have had it, B&O

Actually there is an issue, the panel must be a D7 or newer. If not it will not have the DVI socket to connect the Beosystem 3 to it.

Serenata will be priced at around £1000 in the UK.

First I would check the output HD setting of the box, how old is your BV7? With the Sky box issue, it was a HDCP content problem and as such that error was displayed on the screen (it was a Sky message not BV7) The other thing to consider is a problem with the HD box HDMI socket, is there any other way you can test either the HDMI output on the box

Sorry to say but it really isn't going to work. The HDR uses the same commands as the inbuilt VCR in you Avant, there is no way to get round this, several people have tried but to no avail. It is not as simple as loosing the VCR function from your Avant, from what I remember from those who tried it in the past.
