Peter's point is valid but if you are anything like me then buy it for the styling and add to it in the future! It can't be beaten and as much as I love my new Beo 5 it doesn't have even half the style the BeoLink 7000 does! This is possibly one of my favourite B&O pieces of all time. Yes I must admit that does look very nice in red. Perhaps B&O should take note of that, there may be a market for it. I am trying to imagine my BeoCom 2 in red although I wouldn't have the nerve to try spraying it!

Do you know if it is the Mark I BV7-32 you bought? If it was second-hand then it probably is and that does have a known issue with the darkness you describe. Don't think there's much you can do about it but I am sure owners of this particular set can advise better. I have heard you can buy modules for it for HD so this might make a difference
