• Re: Flash your B&O!

This is a great thread with some stunning photos! Here is my Beosystem at work. (Don't ask why, I simply have too much stuff at home so I had to expand to work and as I have my own small office room I felt that would be an ideal place to have some lighter B&O system) Beomaster 4500 + Beogram CD4500, Beovox 3000 Flat panel -speakers. These panels

  • Re: Beocord 3300

The belt kit includes all three belts and it's definitively worth replacing them all - small cost for a long-lasting repair. It's always a pleasure to help any Beocord back to life by a simple belt-replacement. I have experienced it already many times, hopefully yours BC will give you the same pleasure and you will enjoy the deck. Best wishes
I've had a look inside the Beocord. I didn't find any broken belts, but does everything look alright? The motor starts running when I press PLAY, but a relay clicks and STOP lights up.
Those belts look Ok but if you touch any of those they might simply drop out. They are very likely just loose and will

  • Re: Beolab Penta display problem

When I was cleaning my Beolab Pentas (Mk I) I remember taking the display board out and the big cap in the display board running hot. Someone (I think Martin) mentioned that those caps are (too) getting bad and should be replaced. If some of those caps would be (partly) shorted that might cause you trouble?

  • Re: Do you own any other vintage HiFi products.

Before I was struckt by the BeoVirus I was most interested in open-reel tape recorders. My first one was an Akai 1710 (valve amp with built-in speakers), then I got a lot of Tandberg decks. Amazing built-quality and they just simply don't die. Then I bought a Beocord 1500 De Luxe and then I got affected by the BeoVirus... At the moment the only

  • Re: Problems with Beogram CD 7000 and Beocord 7000

Great work on the Beogram CD. To open the Beocord (this is from my experience with a BC5500 that shouldn't be that different from the 7000) you should took the top off (two screws on the back), took off the plastic panel on the drawer (around the buttons and the cassette holder), remove the red plastic -things that hold the circuit board in place

  • Re: Problems with Beogram CD 7000 and Beocord 7000

I once had a Beogram CD50 with the same symptom; tray closing itself right after opening. The cause was a dirty/oxidized switch in the tray system, should be an easy task of cleaning. Also opening and closing the tray several times in a row might help. Beocord: most likely belts gone bad. Martin (Dillen) should be able to supply new ones. Easy repairs

  • Re: Beogram CD 3300
It's true, a spring is missing and I think this is a design mistake: it is indeed present on CDX players. A few pics (thanks to Ville Laustrela) and a video (the proof of the pudding) to show how this can be fixed. The spring you can see is the one from the CDX (checked on mine).
I don't know if it's

  • Re: Beogram CD 3300

Cleaning the cd lens has been discussed here before but in general the tip has been to use a cotton bud and some isopropyl alcohol. Be gentle! Also cleaning-cds can be bought. Check if the "ring" on which the cd is set to is in good condition, if it's not completely flat the disc might be a bit tilted. My 3300 has been working somehow

  • BM4500 + non-B&O subwoofer

(I know subwoofer issues have been discussed earlier but I couldn't find one to answer my problem). I am working as an IT- and AV-support in a school. That way I have some nice gadgets lying around and I try to make use of them. In my office I have a Beomaster 4500 + Beogram CD4500 with Beovox 3000 flat-panel speakers The speakers are fine but they
