By chance I have just found the silver part of a BL1000 in the Kitchen . Can't decide if it is powder coated, or an electroplated finish. Looks a bit to fine to be powder coated. Either way, at 6:00 tomorrow morning it's spending at least 5 hours in a caustic bath. Should have a picture of the finished item to post up tomorrow evening. Think

What is the orginal finish on the BL1000? Is it powder coating? Im now in charge of the paintshop at work, and do all the powder coating. If it is, I can also remove the old powder too. As we have stripping equipment too. Craig

If you are going to mount it on a wall. It is well worth replacing the tape that holds the glass panels on. If you look on Ebay you will see quite a few with missing glass panels. This is usually where they have been wall mounted, and the tape has failed due to age. You cannot get the panels any more either. Craig

Hi Richard, and welcome to Beoworld. What you have is a very common condition known as foam rot. You will need a repair kit like this. Beovox S55's foam rings & glue You will find plenty of threds on here showing you how to fix them. Also worth changing the caps in the crossover too. One of our members (Dillen). can supply these. Hi Nigel I have an MMC4 that has seen better days. Pretty sure I took it off my parents BG9000. It just sounds rubbish from what I can remember. It is complete though. Drop me a PM with your address and ill pop it in the post for you. Craig
