Strange - there have been no new software updates for the BM1 since v.3.01.00. The problem with the power supply was that it simply stopped working, and BeoMedia 1 didn't start up. I guess this is not the case here... A boot error is typically due to a defective hard drive. If you are able to test it, B&O do recommend this site or this one.

There is a requirement in most markets for an indication of a product being on or in standby.
