Another alternative allbeit a little crude is to tape over the ir with black tape and have a tiny hole which also limits the range on the beo4. Can be done carefully and agree, the cover is big and ugly.

I think people will crave for the interaction that a 9000 offers once CDs are considered obselete... no beating the elegance & sophistication of a 9000 in action.

My 2000 is not working....... plugged in and all I get is a faint buzzing sound, no dial tone. 6000 works ok so I am wondering if I have bought a non UK com 2000? how can I confirm this as there are no stickers on the base of the phone and none on the box? I bought the phone from a UK dealer assuming it was UK spec but I think this maybe a EU model

5000s are truly superb and at the moment, I prefer them over my 8000s with a lab2 !! not sure why! but they just sound great! They have a great overall sound to them and when mounted on the right wall sound wonderful. Highly recommended and sought after.. there is a pair on ebay UK at the moment.
