There has not been an upgrade and one isn't needed. I think the BL3 front and BL8000 rear as suggested would look a little funny....

Check out the harmony remotes by Logitech. At least some of them can control B&O. There are other threads on this topic too.

Oh are you sure about the Beowatch? They are awesome! I have one and it is incredibly retro-cool. A remote on a watch? Actually looks pretty classy in person IMHO!

I'm curious as to why someone would do a conversion to a (relatively) cheap (price-wise---I've never heard it) cartridge from the B&O standard? Is there something to be gained here? Looking at the Grado Gold prices they sell for $220 and that's half of what an MMC1/2 would go for?

How about connecting your inputs to the TV, and then the TV output to the BL4000?

Sorry...just had to rant for a second. I'm so tired of looking for things on ebay and finding the listings completely cluttered with sellers just selling the manual for a B&O item. Seems like recently on the US ebay at least today it is out of control!

they are called attenuated cables, which allow you to run powerlink speakers from an amp with outputs for passive speakers.

And as far as value for the money, don't forget 2nd hand items too. I have purchased all of my B&O pre-loved. I got my first set of BL6000 for $1500 USD (like-new) and my second set for $750 in great shape too. I think for that money they sound fantastic!
