I used to play a lot of golf in Winnersh!

Mind boggling times with B&O at the moment.

I wonder if the new shell will have Samsung and Bang & Olufsen imprinted on each clam?

When I was in the dealer earlier I meant to listen out for the noise of the Blue-ray player but I forgot. I couldn't hear it from a short distance but obviously that was not a proper test as the door as open, the shop was busy and noisy. I'll do it next time I am in and listen with absolute silence and all doors closed, recreating the home experience

I have the 160GB Apple TV plugged into my 7-40 and stream from the iMAC in the spare room/office. Works really well and the sound quality is fine - plays through the 7-2 speaker under the tv. Chose the ATV because of the iTunes interface and menu systems, which comopliment the B&O nicely. Consider B&O solutions beforehand (except for the BS5

B&O are great at initiating thought provoking discussions such as those taking place on BeoWorld, the media and in the audiophile world. Their innovative and creative products match those same innovative and creative responses (and further questioning) to the human psyche. Brilliant. Simon.

I bought the BS9000 knowing the BS5 was on its way. I think its a very personal decision. Those that have owned the BS9000 for a while I imagine would want to take the next step, it makes sense and I am sure I probably would too. But in my case, the BS9000 had been a dream product so it was like an 'ambition' that I had to fulfil. I love it

I solved the problem by buying the Apple TV. I know this doesn't answer your question as such because you still want to connect the MAC mini but I can tell you that the ATV is a great piece of kit and will do everything you want. If not, hacks are available for it. Simon.

I love the design of the BV5. It is one of the most iconic 'pieces' from B&O, just as the BS9000 is. Why was it so short lived? The BV9 is not as attractive looking (from my point of view) as the BV5. You could have stayed with the BV5 and kept it up to date. Why was it discontinued and for what reasons? Who made the final decision? Thanks
Alarm clock sounds interesting, not sure on the watch though, I can't see too many B&O owners not already having a nice dress watch.
A very good point.
