355f, my dealer has also confirmed that the BS3 does NOT support True HD and other HD audio. I've asked them to post on here, but I guess most dealers are very reluctant to post official information on a public forum. I wonder why TripEnglish or other known dealers on this forum haven't commented? What's the official line from them - they

martin01: (Beosystem 3 supports this, and this is the way how we are going to enjoy full DolbyTrue HD and DTS-HD-sound). I'm glad you're able to overrule what B&O told me. I feel far more reassured.

mr_anders_son: I still have white flash etc etc om my 22 000€ BV9..... Yes, I have that too, when using the PS3. I even think it's moved up slightly - it appears around 8cm from the bottom of the screen.
-
Weebyx: But because 5-10 people are having issues, i will not be the one to call a person back from his 3 weeks vacation with his family, which he does not see enough as it is. How do you know it's 5-10 users? Beoworld is no reflection on the entire B&O customer base. They're sending out *new* BV7-40's with that sw 4.24 installed - the

Razlaw: I can believe what a trusted dealer says, along with.. Razlaw, believe what you like to believe, if that makes you happier. That's fine by me. It's not as if I do not own the same TV as you - I do. However, I'm also a realist and I also receive official correspondence. Am I happy these standards are not supported? No, of course not

Razlaw: My dealer just confirmed to me that BV7 DOES support decoded Dolby TrueHD etc. Trust me, your dealer is clueless. As a member of the press, I deal with B&O's press department for direct answers and they say, officially, there is no support in the BS3 for True HD.
-
soundproof: So we now have two official B&O sources stating the same. Yep :( I sent 355f a PM with my thoughts on this response. It went something like this: can you imagine buying a BV4-65, BS3, BL5, get home with your top-of-the-range cinema system....to find it doesn't even support some of the core features of a standard Blu-ray. To give

Weebyx: No, the project manager on BV7 is on vacation now, and there will not be any(major) action until the summer is over, i have reported 2 errors to my dealer/B&O. Nice of him to be sunning himself on the beach after signing off the sw that causes our BV7's to switch off :) If that was my company and I experienced that kind of issue, with

355f: And I have kept saying B&O themsleves confirm that it does not support it!- but its had no effect. I will dig out their response and PM you! 355f, you are correct. Since I asked this original question, I've been told by B&O that the BS3 (and BV7-40 etc) does NOT support True HD or DTS Master HD. Although I can't reveal the source

martin01: Moxxey, This is the second time you dont read what I am writing. Please read before you reply!!! No Martin, it's the way you're writing your replies, I'm afraid. 355f has even replied that he's talking about retro-fitting an upgrade in to his BS3. Of course the BS3 will be upgradable. Of course it will be upgraded to support
