OK, I'm happy with "peaking", it's edge detection and highlighting - a common signal processing technique in image processing. It won't do the foreground/background thing though. ..............and a very Happy Near Year

Dude1: I do know it to be true. I measure quality of picture with my eyes. With respect, the picture quality wasn't what I questioned, it was your claim the B&O TV's can somehow process foreground information differently to background.

Dude1: That is true, but the image reproduction on BangVisions using VisionClear technology has been designed so the image at the very front of the screen - say for example a person walking is far clearer and focused and the scenery behind that person is slightly less focused. This and good use of contrast and colour give a almost 3d image to the picture
