It really looks like the Beomaster5 can be used on its own like the Beomedia1 could. We have also learned which formats plays and that it does not play DRM files (no big surprise, but we now know for sure). Thanks Ignace.

Ignace: Hi, i only know a few things about BeoSound 5 / BeoMaster 5 regarding transferring music. The BeoConnect software can be used (Windows + Mac) to transfer music. Ignace... it seems you have access to a Beosound5 documentation... can you post more of it?

steph: What a pity there is not the MOV video to see the apple trailers in HD ! MPG4 being base on Quicktime, it might be possible to rename MPG4 .MOV as .MPG and get them to work. p.

A junction box is available from Bosscom ( http://uk.bosscom.com/ ). You may also get a similar one from B&O, but it is not normally sold to clients, it is usually used by dealers to quickly change the setup. Otherwise you can cut the cables wire them together, but I would not recommend that to you. B&O also sells a smaller junction box but

In the Scene menu, you have a Zone button that allow you to change the current zone, you also have a "Last zone" button that allow you to switch quickly to the last zone you were in. So in your case it might be "Bedroom". If you click in Bedroom, your remote will be configured to work in the Bedroom and in the Scene menu, the Bedroom

Zones are rooms where you have a B&O TV or Hifi. Scene is a menu that is called by pressing the Semi Circle on the remote and that let you set the environment (scene) in a room: Light, Speakers configuration, Stand orientation, curtains, projector, Screen format. The Zone button is in the Scene menu!

In you config you won't be able to transfer the sound of the BV3 to the BS4. You'll be able to transfer the BC1 sound on the BS4 though, and vice versa. p.

The RF cable is the Antenna cable. The config program is available on Beoworld. I will try and find the link. p.

Set BV3 to option 5, BS4 to option 1, BC1 to option 2. It should work... Try and download the Configuration software from the site and run it on your PC, enter your config and it should give you some indications. I think where we are getting it wrong, is that the link frequency is to set the emitting frequency of a Master TV, not the reception frequency
