I just had a play with my Avant, by removing my rears and adding them again. Pressing exit is not the problem. I will say, however, that my Avant always defaults to Speaker 3. If I want the rears on, I have to press Speaker 4 or Speaker 5 on my Beo4. Have you got 'Speaker' added to your Beo4 list?

I may be wrong, but I think you should press 'Go' once you have added rear speakers, instead of 'Exit' Andy T.
