So it has started. JandyT's latest photo thread, been waiting all week for this. Well I just had to vote for the Beocom 4, we have had ours for just over two years now and it has been faultless. So easy to use and it gets left off the base for days on end without needing a charge. Not sure why but I prefer the scroll wheel on the earlier versions to the later type. it just feels nicer IMO. Well I was going to suggest Ebay for a Beogram CD 5500, but you say you don't want to go down that route. As for a cartridge, I would suggest getting a new one from www.sound-smith.com Not cheap but well worth it as sound wise they are better then the original B&O ones. Your problem with the Beocord sounds like the drive belt that opens thee

You can get a gismo that takes a Scart input and gives it an RF frequency so you can connect to the RF connection. Craig

It should be a 7 pin DIN on both ends. Just a standard datalink cable. Craig
