Could you please verify exactly what equipment you have? Is it a Beomaster 3000 tuner/amp with a sperate turntable? If so I need to know the model of turntable - it will be printed on the front somewhere and will be a Beogram XXXX. Chris.

No they aren't Jack but don't despair there is a fix. You need some electrolytic paint which is available from car accessory shops. It is the stuff used to repair the elements on heated rear windshields. It isn't cheap though. You can also use aluminium foil dots applied with double sided tape but it isn't quite as good as the above

Thanks a lot for that Nick. Confirms what I thought. Chris.

Which membrane do you mean? It will depend on the version you have. The MK1 had a contact sheet with square metal domes taped to the PCB. The MK2 & early MK3's had an acetate sheet with black electrolytic dots under each button which made contact with raised corrugated contact points on the PCB. The later ones have 2 differing methods. 1 :-

A bit of advice/confirmation wanted here. There is a line IN/OUT socket at the back of the Beocenter 7700 with a plastic insert. I've read somewhere that this can enable you to connect a graphic equaliser so I assume it can also be used to connect to a 3rd party device such as a PC or CD recorder to enable me to transfer vinyl to CD. Is this correct

Sorry for hijacking this thread fraser, do you have a cap kit for some MC120.2's (I think the spec's are the same as the S120's) Martin? I have a set which I will be refoaming shortly and thought I may as well give the crossovers an overhaul while I'm in there. @ Frazer - I would personally take Martin up on his offer of the refoamed

I'm sure there are many of us wanting to wish Keith Saunders a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Keith does far more than could reasonably be expected of anyone on Beoworld and always offers sound technical advice whenever & wherever he can and is one of our most valuable assets with his unparalleled technical knowledge. Many Beoworlders would have struggled

Blimey has it been a year already! I can only echo what Peter has already said and offer my thanks to all the members who make Beoworld such a pleasure to be involved with. Here's to bigger and better things in the future, cheers everyone Chris.

I'm afraid there isn't a lot you can do with scratches on the aluminium panels. These panels are simply stuck on with double sided tape so if you know someone who can cut you a replacement one from matching sheet then that's about all you can do with it. I wouldn't even bother trying anything abrasive (such as brasso) it will make a
