• Re: S45 (83-86) floor stand ???
I think I might also get some made. Only thing is finding out the angle of the vertical bar! Are they painted or metal?
They are painted. Couldn't find an angle disc anywhere, I'll need to take a straight side shot to approximate it (tomorrow when there's daylight again...).

  • Re: TOP 10 designed Bang & Olufsen products ever
With B&O, I think each decade needs it's own top ten list! For a company that's been around 85 years, it's hard to pick just 10 pieces! Though the products from the early 60's through present seem to be the most popular, and still in use today.
Definitely! Although I don't know if the
Or should that read "Martin, whats happening!"
Probably, but I'll try in the meantime The first question is, are you really receiving in stereo? Flick the mono switch off & on and try to tell if you can hear a difference. If the sound stays mono, the decoder isn't working, or the signal

Here's a closeup of the top bar. The mounting holes for the speaker are 185 mm apart and countersunk. The speakers have threads for metric M4 screws. One thing I forgot to photograph - the vertical angle of the speakers can be adjusted with another M4 screw, there's a thread for it on the inside of the vertical bar, 160 mm from the top. The

Here's the bottom view. Everything else is welded together except this joint for the vertical bar, it has an Allen screw inside. It might be easier to simply weld this joint as well if you don't ever need to ship these in a flat package. There are four plastic feet, apparently plugged into holes in the steel tube.

  • Re: S45 (83-86) floor stand ???

So these are S80.2 stands - perhaps Jeff can confirm if the S45 stands are indeed the same. The material is 15 x 25 mm rectangular steel tube for all parts except the mounting bar at the top, that is 10 x 16 mm solid steel. The outer dimensions of the bottom rectangle are 265 (W) x 255 (D). The length of the vertical bar is 510 mm - as you can see in

  • Re: S45 (83-86) floor stand ???

S45/S55 might well be the same since the speakers are pretty much the same size. I have a pair of S80.2's with stands, but the speakers seem to have ~7 cm more depth, and these stands might look a bit "long toed" on the others... But if Jeff can't find the correct stands, I'll be happy to measure mine - probably all that differs
Oh my gosh, the BeoLab 5 the ugliest 'thing' I have ever seen and the price of a Mini Cooper! It's simply disgusting! BeoVision 3 I think is a total mess Never warmed to BeoSound 1 or Beocentre 2
The Beolab 5 have reasons to look like that, and as an uncompromising technical achievement I completely

but one thing I noted was Beocom 1600 was in, yet beocom 2 is out?
Probaby because the Beocom 2 is total pants to use with the worst ring tone in history John. Not really good design IMO as it doesn't fulfil the criteria to qualify it as such - beautiful I agree but
