I'm afraid the scrapper route is your only option. You will find that the scrupulous resellers have stopped selling 9000's for this very reason. It is impossible to give a warranty on something where the cd holder could fail at any time so we just don't bother with selling them. Meanwhile, there are a whole host of other sellers who....

Bad news Dave, the spring and plastic bit that holds it is no longer available and there is no fix that I know of. Loads of 9000's are now consigned to spending the rest of their days as very attractive tuner/tape players for this very reason! Your only answer is to buy a scrap 9000 that has this bit intact and do a swap.

Correction! There are 3............one in the mounting hole and one in each hole for the band tensioners. Sorry to mislead you. Just corrected my memory bank from the service manual!!!!!!!!!!!

There are two screws in the mounting hole at the centre of the rear of the speaker!

Hello Krys, Basically, you should be arrested. You stole it!! The speaker connectors are 2 pin DIN plugs and are or were fairly standard on European systems. The beosound 9000 does not have datalink on the AUX socket so no record decks will be able to be remote controlled. You will need a deck with RIAA pre amp built in so use BG3500, 4500, 6000 or 7000. If you use any of the others you will need an external pre amp.

I suspect that one of your powerlink cables is broken. I have had these symptoms and one cable proved to be faulty.
