Nearly there! All that is required now is some filler - cataloy resin as used in car body repairs is perfect for this - and some light sanding. You may have to do this a couple of times to ensure all the little nooks & crannies get filled nicely. Mask off the parts which slide into the lid and give a light spray of zinc primer followed by a couple

Now to make the strap. You need some thin sheet metal - I cannibalised an old car stereo cassette case for this - some sharp tin snips and a 2mm drill bit. Drill a 2mm hole (the size of the hinge pin) at one end of the metal sheet then cut a thin strip of the approx width of the groove you have filed in the hinge keeping this hole at one end of it.

OK now to begin . Before going further it is VITALLY important to know that the positioning of the drilled holes in the strap are in EXACTLY the same place as the original. The problem as seen in this picture is that the plastic hinge hole breaks due to the constant stress placed on it by the lid opening assist spring. After this, I will not be donating to a radical

Thank you Peter and everyone else for your personal comments on the way I conduct myself as a moderator. I feel that I should add that I acted only for the good of the Beoworld site and its current and future members and there was no personal agenda here. If iphone feels he has been treated unfairly then I offer my apologies and wish to confirm that

This must be regarding a post I deleted a while back (not recently as the OP suggests) in which iphone offered "advice" to a new member who had a problem with his Beoltalk 1200. I took this action after complaints from other members and will not go into details as I PM'ed iphone explaining exactly why I took this action and to comment

Been having a bit of a tidy up (I've put away the shovel & wheelbarrow for tonight) and found Coldplay's "A Rush Of Blood To The Head" album. Forgotten how good it was. Got it thumping through my Penta's via System 7000 loverly Chris.

YELLOW = Camel or Australian bar man attack. GREEN = Lion, Tiger, Hippo, Crocodile, Elephant, Alligator, Jaguar, Llama, Bear, Kangaroo or Duck billed Platypus attack. What

Hi Kevin, no I don't and to be honest it would probably be just as expensive to have done (if not more so) than buying new. Chris. PS. Have you checked the wanted section?
