I think, I would grab Chris' spare board and mount either the whole board or just the display. Martin

Well, basically LEDs (diodes) are merely semiconductors and semiconductors are known to fail occasionally. I suppose that's what has happened here. Martin

And don't forget that you often hear about the few faulty products as their owners tend to make their opinion very clear. You rarely hear from the thousands of happy owners. When it comes to testing products, I don't think you will find any other brand working as hard as B&O and the more you squeeze into a product the higher the risk of

I'm sure it won't affect the value. It's very common to see the antenna plug missing on these models. That happens if the Beomaster was used with an external antenna and the easiest way for the owner was to use the plug already there for the new antenna. When the radio was later moved or taken out of service and put away, the plug is left

Welcome to Beoworld ! And don't worry about hijacking a thread, especially when it's related to your problem. The original plug can be hard to find but it can easily be replaced by a pair of good old standard banana-plugs. Be careful not to short anything else. Then

Yes, that's also how I like to do it and there's not a lot of tension needed so it will work fine. If you are very eager to do it better, you can drill in tiny steel pins or fabricate a clamp. Martin

Maybe we can ask Die_Bogener for a scan of the servicemanual for our download section ? The reset procedure is not described in any of my manuals either. Martin
