Alex is spot on with his comments about the BeoLab 1's. They have such a strong mid and top end it really shames them for their lack of bass to match. However, add a BeoLab 2 and you have a real thumping set-up! The 1's tend to "shriek" at high volumes and become pretty uncomfortable to me, but at normal to medium loud volumes listening
