Also in the UK the 40" version costs £2,623 INCLUDING VAT and it is also made by a Danish company. In the UK look HERE for it.

No problem, happy to help.. Let me know the outcome of your visual checks next week, but in the meantime have a great weekend
-
Well, it certainly sounds like you have a bad connection somewhere, which to be honest is good because you want to be sure you have found the problem. Given the problems you have encountered it may well turn out to be something like a "dry" solder joint. Before we start fault finding the logical way, I suggest you visually review the printed
-
I doubt that the fault is on the input selector part of PCB2 where you appear to have been changing components. Whilst it has the circuit for the input select and line condition change circuit are on this module, your " Problem Statement " seems to suggest that for the few seconds it apparently works i.e. the green light is on and the sound

Well, that's good and bad. I am always concerned when a fault goes away and you don't know what caused it because it could come back. You have a software version and a table version, its the table version which is important. You can download a list for Table Version 3.0 HERE The latest table versions are 3.90 & 3.91

The STB controller table includes STB's from many countries. Do you know what STB table version you have ? Either look on the back of the Beovision for a very small blue label with black writing or you can go into the Service menu and it will state it.
-
I had a good day, thank you Tim. Given the quite low price of STB's I would get a french unit. All french STB's also output in PAL and RGB
-
I said STB controller, but I should have said DVD controller There are two versions of the DVD controller and the latest version supports the following DVD players, but many others of the same manufacturer will also work:- Onkyo DV-S525 Panasonic DMR-E50 Panasonic DMR-E53/DMR-E55 Panasonic DVD-A360 Panasonic DMR-EH54D Philips DVD950 Philips DVDR70/DVDR75
